Last time I remember it had incest tag
Yes this thread used to have the incest tag, because in the earlier releases Nika & Nami were siblings in game (same parents).

There has never been any actual incestuous content in this game, because there's been no sex.

These days Ocean says SG has no incest and never will. That's what the patch is for.

Judging by her acting and composition if you answer to her feelings, Nami tends to get pretty jealous of other girls, maybe it has something to do with that?

I wouldn't be surprised if Nami tried to get between MC and Summer's relationship out of jealousy at some point, maybe that's what he meant by playing games.

Maybe she has a habit of stirring things up with other women from MC's life, it doesn't help that she's also pretty possessive when comes to him which isn't a very good thing when comes to relationships, or maybe i'm just wrong i don't know, i'm just speculating.
Absolutely agree. There are two sides of Nami that cast a slight shadow on the shining image of the ideal girlfriend for the MC that we see at the beginning of the game.

The first thing was summed up perfectly by John972, Nami had clearly done something in the past that hit the MC hard. It is also clear that she has changed, but the fear that she will return to her old self is bugging the MC.

But what exactly she did is unclear, and we can only speculate. She may have been trying to break up MC and Summer, and since they were friends, she dragged her on dates with other guys, trying to set her up with some jerk and hence the MC's constant fighting at school. Or maybe she was so desperate that she played the "I love you and I'll kill myself if you reject me" card. But when he returned her feelings, she chickened out and started gathering assholes around her to stop the MC from trying to go further in their relationship. Typical teenage drama queen behavior.

Damn, I both love and hate it when Ocean plays "Lost", making up mysteries and herding the red herrings. But there is a high risk that in the end the answers will turn out to be as retarded as in the “Lost” finale.

The second thing is, as you correctly pointed out, Nami seems to be very jealous type, even more than Bella. Moreover, it seems to me that she will absolutely calmly accept the physical intimacy of the MC with other girls, she may even encourage him to have a threesome, but she is very jealous of any emotional connection with anyone other than her.

As you follow Nami's path, she constantly keeps an eye on Zara in chapter 5. When Zara sits on MC's neck, Nami immediately asks with displeasure what she is doing? Later, at Nick's house, when Zara is left alone with the MC for a while, Nami again displeasedly asks her if she is going to help unpack their things to take her away from the MC. All this doesn't happen if MC is cold to Nami and not on her path.

Another funny moment. Whenever I play Bella's route, when Nami asks how serious the MC is about Bella, I always answer, "I'm starting to fall for her." This obviously hurts Nami, but she quickly regains her composure and diverts attention by cracking a joke about "romance and fisting". And she says she will help the MC and Bella is in for a treat. But suddenly I tried another answer “Just the right amount, duh.” and Nami didn’t seem hurt much, she sincerely said that she would help the MC with romance and petting, and the girls are in for a treat.

I am saying Nojiko can be a normal doctor working in a small local hospital. and I don't think Nick is looking for the most expensive and high-class hospital after getting in an accident. I don't know where you are from, but for me, Nojiko's status is accurate for the details we know about her so far: She has a normal house, a normal car, and can afford two kids college expenses. :)
Does it matter what hospital Nojiko works at? I wrote about an ordinary doctor; unique specialists get much more. In the story, Nick ended up in a hospital where they couldn’t help him. Ocean presented Nojiko as a highly qualified specialist, superior to other similar doctors. Thanks to her, Nick stopped being disabled.
Your words contradict the plot, it was repeated several times that Nojiko has no money and MC is looking for ways to help her and make her life easier. If Nojiko were a nurse, then I would agree with everything, because their salaries are small. But doctors, and especially such highly qualified specialists like Nojiko, cannot live in poverty.

Plus she is very interested in MC's personal relationships all the time, always asking him what girl he likes and how much, even though it's none of her business to know any of that which kind of annoys me to be fair, always needs to know everything about his personal affairs and justifying that as "being supportive of him"

She probably changed after MC's trauma but all this tend of her of being possessive and getting jealous is something that hasn't change.

I'm wondering now if she is actually fine with the current mental state MC is in, since he can't have any sexual relationship with anyone which means it's pretty much impossible for him to maintain an intimate relationship, maybe she see this as something good for her in a weird and twisted way.

We will see what will happen after MC manages to get past the trauma and regain his libido, how she will react to that and how she will act.

The more the game adds chapters and early chapters are reworked the more this i-thing that Nami and Nika are siblings gets far-fetched.

Does the i-patch make sense? do we need it? even though Nika and Nami aren't siblings, they were raised as such, therefore in the non-patched game any sexual and romantic relationship between them is regarded as forbidden and inconcievable by people around them.

Damn, I thought the update was mid but im surprised at how negative its reception has been.

The weighted rating has dropped so low it's one or two low score reviews away from joining the page 4 and beyond dregs.
Many of us enjoyed this last update.

F95 does not exactly make someone take a quiz to prove that they played the release before they one star the AVN.

There are a lot of alt id's and outright trolls who are, IMO, jealous of Ocean's success and this is their way of trying to show the world that SG isn't very good at all.

I mean - if there is no sex, it Has to be bad, right?? ;)

If Mum/Dad has blocked Pornhub/related websites with parental controls, then F95 owes them all the sex they can find and imagine how infuriating it must be for minors to Not get sexy time with Any of the beautiful women that Ocean has provided in Summers Gone.

Boredom + jealousy/hate + anonymity + the immaturity of secondary school//middle school/highschoolers in the U.S. (and F95 has no 'prove you are 18' feature) = ability to crap on a dev with no meaningful consequence.

There is nothing that could stop a group of these trolls from review-bombing any creation on F95.

Many of them have already moved on to show their 'favor' for other devs.

I've added 20+ trolls to my ignore list due to this SG release and I am only seeing 4-5 still present, posting whatever.

They will be back (or at least their alt id's will) so that they can review bomb SG CH 5 Full.

My recommendation for anyone new to this thread - try SG and encourage friends to do the same.

If you like it, wishlist it on Steam and, if your finances allow, start supporting Ocean on Patreon/SS.

If you find it is not your cup of tea - no worries - you still got to enjoy looking at some Beautiful women, enjoying top notch music and reading a story that will continue to grow and might just become something you will want to revisit down the road.

Until 'down the road' happens (or it does not), there are any number of other good/great creations here on F95 to enjoy.

Cheers!! :coffee:

To be honest the whole incest thing didn't made much sense for me since the beginning, i didn't see them as much as only step-siblings.

But never blood related in the first place, people are free to use the patch if they want but for me doesn't have much sense like i said.

Did you get the idea that Nojiko must be a specialist from this scene? I don't think we can assume her status from just one scene .:)

The iPatch is something I include when I play.

IMO - it makes my SG experience more authentic (and Noji's comments/worries about how close the MC and Nami are feel more on point).

I think it comes down to personal preference.

IF - and this is a story detail for me, the MC and Nami are not related, it makes it more convoluted for Noji to have adopted two children from different families and at an early age and neither of them had a blood relative who was willing to adopt them/care for them when their parents died (and yes - it is possible that other relatives were involved at one time but we currently have no story details supporting this).

Does the death of the parents of the MC and Nami ever become more than an early background detail?

I don't know.

But if the death of their parents does play a role in future events, then it is easier to explain one dead/murdered (?) set of parents than two - IMO.

Bro, Nika tells Maja that Nami is 1 year older. So why did they attend the same class at school and why do they enroll together at ZPR?

As I wrote, we need to fully practise our suspension of disbelief arts and enjoy this story as it comes.

Exactly, a grateful opinion from a patient about someone who works in emergency, not a plastic/brain surgeon. I find her financial position entirely plausible. She even mentioned that she didn't think she was good enough to risk starting a private practice if I recall correctly.

Simple - Nami got repeatedly held back for being too much of a cheeto. Continuity is now restored :)

I don't share your views. I find the taboo stuff far less plausible in the room-mate approach.

If as you state they're functionally siblings in the Patreon version, I'm not sure how you could reasonably argue them being actual siblings would seem more far-fetched. :WaitWhat:

I don't particularly seek out incest content, but given that's how the story was originally written, and the taboo element is more plausible to me, I'll be sticking to the patch version.

It's nice to have options. If incest creeps people out, or they don't like that story as much, they can play the Patreon version.

You're mistaken, they certainly were blood related in the first place. As I said, Ocean reconnected the story later on.

Nojiko being an experienced and gifted specialist (i.e. Dr Jack Shepherd from Lost) is just a figment in some people's imagination. The SG script does not support such a conclusion at this stage.

Let's say I had an accident and got admitted to hospital.

If a doctor, any fuckin' doctor, made a ruling that stopped part(s) of me being amputated, then they'd be the best doctor I'd ever seen as well... :)

Well i mentioned that it's a matter of personal opinion/preference so there's nothing wrong in that, i just don't see it that way even though Ocean planned on it.

Well, if the Ocean doesn’t at some point change our guesses about the nature of their relationship with some completely unexpected trick, then yes, it’s hard to object against your take. Moreover, these ambiguities continue to appear in new chapters and are difficult to resolve without the help of i-patch. Like in ch4.5 when the MC walks with Nami after the foursome kiss and warns her again to keep her feelings a secret because if people find out about her and Nika they will use it against them and hurt them very badly (or something like that, I don’t remember the exact phrasing.) What's so bad about someone finding out that roommates love each other? Why would this information help someone hurt them more than usual? This doesn't make any sense.

So I assume given the lack of incest tag on the thread... either the patch doesn't work. Or there is still basically zero incest content despite making them MCs sister.

Ocean's release does not have incest in it. The patch is an optional, unofficial incest patch that adds incest to a game that does not have incest in it. Hence, no incest tag for the game.

Bro - what does the story tell us?

When the MC had a near death experience (both lungs collapsed) - did Nami have a breakdown?

Did Noji make a conscious decision to hold Nami back for a year or did Nami just give up on her schooling that year because of what happened to the MC when Summer disappeared and he almost died?

Prior to what happened to Summer, was the MC smart enough that Noji was able to have him skip a grade so that he and Nami ended up in the same year of schooling (this happened to a classmate of mine in RL - she skipped 8th grade, and we ended up as high school freshman together even though she was a 7th grader the prior year)?

So - why do we need to 'practise our suspension of disbelief arts'?

We simply have insufficient information about their past to explain why they are now entering college as 1st year students at the same time.

If you have seen something to explain this - please share those screenshots!

I'd love to see more of the lore from this time in the life of both Nami and the MC.

If you have nothing to share, then we are left with speculation, including what I provided above.

Perhaps Ocean will give us more details about this in the future or perhaps, this is just one of story setting mysteries that we will have to accept - Not knowing what happened to Nami/the MC that caused them to end up starting as college first year's at the same time.

Cheers!! :coffee:
