This channel is mostly devoted to Lombardy and its language.
Here, the words Lombard and Lombardy are meant in their broadest historical sense, i.e. the Po bassin plus the Ligurian coast.
This is radically different from the customary meaning, referring instead to the administrative region of Lombardy only.
We maintain that the latter view is wrong, but we do respect it; anyway; in any case, by no means do we advocate any kind of hegemony of the administrative Lombardy or Milan on their neighbourhoods.
So, in this channel, the adjective Lombard means - more or less - Padanian in a strictly geographical - and historical - sense. We use this adjective even if (or, in fact, precisely because) we strongly disagree with the usage it underwent in the framework of the Italian political system in the final decades of 20th century.
Finally, we maintain that the natural relation among Lombardy, Occitania, and Catalonia, should be cultivated on systemic grounds.
